We are sad to announce James Bond stuntman and stunt engineer Dave Bickers has passed away last Sunday, aged 76. He was credited for Adittional Stunt Driving in GOLDENEYE, and also worked in other nine 007 films including SKYFALL, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY and the unofficial production NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN.
Born in Suffold, England, on 17 January 1938, Dave has founded his company Bickers Action to manufacture equipment for stunts to the film industry. He was awarded with two Trophée des Nation titles during his period as a member of the motocross British team.
Former Bond second unit director Vic Armstrong remembered him as "a legend" who made "the Stunt World a safer place", while stunt coordinator Gary Powell recalled the importance of his work during the boat roll-over jump in 1999's THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH: "it was made possible because of the knowledge and know how of Dave Bickers".
